Our brief
Inteforge was awarded the detail drafting, supply, fabrication and delivery for 7,500 tonnes of structural steel, plate work and conveyors as part of the construction of a ‘next-generation’ grain export terminal at the Port of Vancouver, Canada.
The solution
- Inteforge collaborated with the client to commence and continue fabricating during the completion of design to ensure tight delivery schedules were met
- A progressive delivery methodology was utilised to ensure steel was on site ahead of construction readiness
- A hybrid delivery model was used to support project priorities from our workshops in China and the USA
- Flat racks/transport frames delivered across 6 breakbulk shipments and 15 container liner services ·
- We worked collaboratively with the customer to develop smart 2D panelisation strategies that minimised transport volumes and delivered significant construction productivity gains at site
